Downton Leisure Centre (DLC)
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
PAYMENTS: All membership and/or facility fees are due in advance and before any facility use commences. Late payment may result in immediate cancellation of your membership or facility use without notice. If this is the case, a penalty fee may be applied to cover collection costs (if applicable).
BEHAVIOUR: As a member or visitor to this club you are required to behave in a polite and respectful manner to staff and other members/visitors at all times. We will not tolerate threatening or misbehaviour. Should it be deemed by the management / staff at DLC that you have breached this rule you will be asked to leave, and any fees paid may not be refunded. Please adhere to all social distancing, face-covering and handwashing rules.
CUSTOMER CHECK-IN: All members/visitors must give their name to the duty reception staff on arrival and before using any of the facilities at DLC. Visitors/members may be asked to provide proof of identity and/or age. Refusal or inability to provide adequate proof may result in you being refused use of any or all of the centre facilities.
DISCLAIMER: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the gym, studios, halls and all other facilities provided, including the car park, are used entirely at your own risk. The owners and their employees or representatives accept no responsibility for loss, injury or damage to customers or their property or belongings, however caused.
USAGE WITHDRAWAL: The owners and their employees or representatives reserve the right to cancel, refuse, limit or withdraw use of any or all of the facilities at Downton Leisure Centre at their discretion and without notice or explanation.
REFUNDS: Unless stated otherwise, refunds will not be granted. NOTE: It is your responsibility to ensure Direct Debits are cancelled at your bank if you cancel your membership or when your contract ends (if applicable).
SPECIAL OFFERS: All guarantees, promises or offers apply to current and paid-up facility usage only. Offers are null and void if payments are owed to Gymies Ltd t/a Downton Leisure Centre.
SAFE CONDUCT: Members and visitors must act in a safe and responsible manner and ensure good personal hygiene at all times. All sessions must be performed using any safety bars, weight clips, pins, safety frames or any other safety/protective equipment provided.
CLOTHING: Customers/members must always wear appropriate training wear (including training shoes). Tops must be worn at all times. Jeans and heavy outdoor footwear are forbidden when using any facilities.
OPENING TIMES: The owners/management reserve the right to alter opening times or close the premises as deemed necessary and without notice or explanation.
CAMERAS & PHONES: It is strictly forbidden to make any type of recording inside, or outside in the car park, of any part of the Downton Leisure Centre building. This includes taking pictures, video recording or sound recording, without the express permission of the management.
MINIMUM AGES: The minimum age for access to the gym is 13. Members under 16 must be signed in, on site, and accompanied by a parent or guardian during all sessions, unless a special instructor-driven young person class is in session. The minimum legal age for the Sunbed is 18. For other minimum age limits (classes, indoor sports etc) please ring to enquire – 01725 557268
BREACH OF TERMS: Any member who has usage withdrawn due to a breach of any of these terms will NOT be due or receive a refund, in part or in whole.
PRIVACY POLICY: Your details are safe with us and will not be given/sold to other business. Occasionally, we may use your details for our own in-house purposes to notify you of club news and events.
TERMS: These terms and conditions may be changed without notice to update them. A copy is also available by the reception desk in the club.
SPORTS HALL USE
FOOTWEAR: NO shoes that mark the floor, or muddy shoes – you will be asked to stop playing if we see marks or dirt on the floor.
EQUIPMENT: Use the correct INDOOR equipment in all halls at all times. This includes footballs, bats etc. Do not use tape on floors unless prior agreed.
HYGIENE: Chewing gum & litter – put in the bins provided, do NOT leave on the floor or walls! If you spill something, please clean it up.
CHANGING ROOMS: Use the changing rooms and lockers to get changed and store belongings. TOPS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. All items and belongings are left at owner’s risk.
FANS / LIGHTS: If you want extra fans or lights on – please ask. Halls are NOT heated and may suffer from occasional condensation issues.
BOOKINGS: Payments are always due in advance for hall use. Bookings only guaranteed if paid for. No refunds on cancellations unless prior agreed.
LATE ARRIVALS: Please contact us if you are going to be more than 5 minutes late for your booking. If we haven’t heard from you by 20 minutes into your booking, we reserve the right to allow other members to use the hall.
PROBLEMS: If you break something, or there’s a problem or complaint, please let us know immediately so we can sort it.
BREACHES: Any breach of these rules may lead to your hall session(s) being restricted, shortened or cancelled without notice or refund.
By using the halls at Downton Leisure Centre, you acknowledge you have read and accept these terms and will abide by them.
DISCLAIMER
By entering the premisES you agree to take full responsibility for your own health, safety, wellbeing and property, and for all those in your charge, in relation to the activities that you undertake with Gymies Ltd (the operator) whilst using any of the facilities, including the carpark, at Downton Leisure Centre, Wick Lane, Downton, Wiltshire, SP5 3NF (the site).
You agree not to attend the site if your presence would put the health, safety or wellbeing of others at risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for any accident, illness or loss, Covid-19 related or otherwise, that may occur or be contracted during your visit to the site or subsequently be contracted thereafter.
You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified the operator, its directors, franchisees, employees/staff, nominated representatives and any other person or persons as may be authorised by the operator to promote or organise all activities, from and against all actions, claims, costs, expenses and demands in or connected with your failure to comply with any of your obligations as set out above.
